Tau Chapter is thriving in a day and age where the headlines are riddled with the accounts of negative happenings in the Greek community.  Comprised of a strong group of undergraduate leaders and backed by a solid Alumni network — including a new addition to our chapter advisory team, DTD at Penn State has been working hard to combat the negative stereotype that surrounds the Greek world today.

Thanks to strong Alumni support, Tau Chapter continues to provide young men with an environment that nurtures leadership, personal development, and other skills necessary for a successful and meaningful college career and life beyond Penn State. Here’s how:

1. We have always had a commitment to diversity.

2. We’re recruiting men whose direction is aligned with the values of DTD.

We are one chapter that is happy to be in the headlines.  We are in the news because our active Brothers are leading the way on the Penn State campus and across DTD.  For example, Penn State’s IFC President Rick Groves, though currently inactive given his position, is a member of Tau Chapter.  Additionally, former President Ben Bobick served as the emcee of the Homecoming 2015 festivities.  Ben is also a sports anchor for WPSU Penn State and an intern for Pittsburgh CBS radio affiliate 93.7, the Fan.

3. We have a strong legacy on campus.

Delta Tau Delta was founded on the Penn State campus in 1872 and is recognized as the first fraternity at the university.

4. We are adding to our team of local chapter advisors.

This fall, we welcomed a new member to our team of chapter advisors. TJ Cloud is a ’11 Delt from the Beta Delta Chapter at the University of Georgia.  He is currently a student at Penn State Law.  “I was led to DTD by the strength of the brotherhood. I felt that after all the fraternity did for me, the least I could do was give back my time and talent.”

5. We have one of the best houses on campus.
