Chapter Advisor to step down after seven years in role -- Thank You Todd!

Tau Chapter asks that all Brothers thank Todd Lewis for his service and unwavering dedication to our Chapter.  We would like to share the following message from Todd and wish him luck as he moves on!

“Last November I asked Allen Wente, our Director of Volunteer Services, to start a search for an advisor to assist us with the intention that this individual would eventually take my place in about a year.  In January of this year, I followed that up with a personal meeting with Bentley Anderson, Director of Volunteer Recruitment, at the Eastern Division Conference in Rhode Island. To date they have not been successful but are diligently working on it.  I have reached the decision that I will be stepping down as Tau’s advisor on August 15 of this year.  Jack Kreman, our Chief Operating Officer, has been informed of this decision.

My job started in June of 2010 when I was recruited to be the Chapter Advisor to Tau.  I told them it certainly would be preferable to have someone local but they asked me if I would at least consider it.   All I could guarantee was I would try my best to get up there once a month while school was in session and take the time necessary online and on the phone to help the house.  I added that anytime they were not satisfied with my performance they could end the relationship with no hard feelings.  They said they would accept that.  So here we are seven years later.

It has been a wonderful journey and experience.  I have truly enjoyed all seven years thanks to the many outstanding Tau Brothers who it has been my pleasure to know and work with.  An especially large and heartfelt thank you goes out to all the other Advisors and the House Corporation for your incredible support.  Without your help, we would never have overcome some of the tough times we went through and achieved the success we did.  The house is now larger, more financially sound, and the GPAs are higher than they were in 2010 when I began my tenure.

I will continue to perform my duties as Chapter Advisor until August 15, 2017 and will also continue as a member of the Membership Review Committee for our National.

Thank you again to everyone for your tremendous support.  You are a great team and you make me proud to be a Tau Delt.”
